The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union boys soccer team is red hot. Winners of their last three games, the Wildcats are receiving votes in the latest Class 1A poll from the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association as they enter tonight’s match with Wapello.

In their last match the Wildcats beat Highland by a 10-0 score. On the season Columbus is led by Eric Cantarero with six goals on the season. Brayan Camargo leads the Wildcats in goal with 32 saves.

Wapello comes into the night 3-6. They beat Mediapolis 1-0 in their last match. On the season the Indians are led by Cobi Cline with four goals. Rogan Pforts is sixth in the state with 105 saves on the year.

Action begins tonight at 5p.m. in Wapello.
