The Washington Demon Archery team was represented at all three levels of competition over the weekend at the national tournament in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Demon high school team finished in 51st place out of 248 schools attending with an overall score of 3342. Washington was led by Samantha Mellinger and her 285 score including 17 bulls eyes. This placed Mellinger 123rd out of more than 2,000 high school girls participating. The Demon boys were led by John Sands at the high school level with his 285 score and 16 bulls eyes. Sands finished 264th out of nearly 2,500 high school boys competing. Other scores for the Washington high school team included Braeden Duwa at 281, Griffin Wood 280, Cynthia Shafer-Smith 279, Adam Todd 275, James Zabel 274, Cody Mellinger 273, Mitchell Driscoll 273, Kylee Porter 268, and Maggie Morgan 264.

The Washington Middle School team was led by Bryan Martin and his score of 281, including 14 bulls eyes. He finished 193rd out of nearly 3,000 competitors. Top middle school female archer was Samantha Frana with a score of 277 and 12 bulls eyes. She finished 276th out of more than 2,700 archers. Other Demon middle school scores included Allison Rees with a 277, Curtis Stender at 274, Anna Miller 274, Cooper Reed 269, Hunter Shultz 262, and Lane Frana 252.

At the elementary level top Demon archers were Makynna Morgan with a 260 including eight bulls eyes, placing her 258th out of nearly 2,000 competing and Sammy Jo Helfrich finished at 240 with four bulls eyes.
