Fresh off of their Southeast Conference Championship Tuesday in Mount Pleasant the Washington boys golf team travels to Flint Hill Golf Course in Burlington today for the sectional tournament.

The Demons won the conference title with a 308 team score, led by Dalton Myers one under par round of 71. Myers along with Jacob Van Osdol and Mason Rich were named to the All-Southeast Conference team. The Demons are currently ranked No. 9 as a team in class 3A in the latest poll from the Iowa Golf Coaches Association. Individually, Van Osdol checks in at No. 20, Myers at No. 25, and Brock Sobaski at No. 49. Washington enters play with a team average per nine holes of 160.

Solon has the lowest team average per nine holes at 159 in the field. Mount Vernon is third behind the Demons at 164. Sterling McIlravy of Solon has the lowest individual average entering play at 38 strokes per nine holes. Van Osdol leads Washington at 39. Teams joining the Demons in Burlington include Clear Creek Amana, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Mount Pleasant, Mount Vernon, Burlington Notre Dame and Solon.
