Dalton Myers represented the Demon boys’ golf team at districts at the Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa.
In the 18-hole meet, Myers shot an 81 resulting in 14th place out of the 34 members participating. Grinnell’s Lucas Scherf was meet medalist with a 67 and Williamsburg took the team crown with 314 strokes. Competing as an individual at the meet, Myers showed consistency shooting a 40 in the front nine with a birdie on hole 7, and a 41 on the back nine. Dalton qualified for the class 3A districts after receiving medalist runner-up honors at sectionals last week in Burlington by shooting a 74.
Myers finishes the season on a team that won the Southeast Conference title and brings three of their top six golfers back next year.
