Centennial Fountain will have plenty of company this afternoon.

Today is the first Farmers Market of the season in Washington’s Central Park. Market Master Bob Shepherd says the rhubarb crop has been bountiful locally, and you’ll also see vendors with the following in the square today – baked goods, asparagus, lettuce, radishes, spinach, and much more. It costs $3 each market for vendors, to become a vendor contact Shepherd or the Washington Farmers Market Facebook page. The first market of the 2017 season begins at 5 p.m. today.
