Golden Hawk Boys and Girls Celebrate Seniors

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls soccer teams are in Wellman tonight to celebrate senior night.

The two squads will play simultaneous games, side by side, at the Wellman Soccer Complex with the boys drawing Mediapolis and the girls taking on Benton Community. The Mid-Prairie boys enter the match with an overall record of 5-5. In their last contest they fell at Keokuk Friday 3-2. On the season Mid-Prairie is led by Cian Borra with eight goals. Jason Tew holds the team led with seven assists. Ryan Miller leads the Hawks in goal with 22 saves. Mediapolis enters the match with a 3-10 record. The Bulldogs lost at Iowa Mennonite School Friday 3-1. On the season MEPO is led by Caleb Duffy with seven goals. Journey Rude leads the squad with four assists and Travis Massner has 126 saves in goal.

In the girls match Mid-Prairie enters with an overall record of 4-8. In their last match they beat Northeast Goose Lake 3-0. Monday. It was the first win for the Golden Hawks under new head coach and Mid-Prairie alum Justin Barthelman who took over the head coaching duties midway through the season. Benton enters play tonight with an overall record of 3-10 they lost on the road to Maquoketa Tuesday 6-1.
