The Mid-Prairie and Columbus girls soccer teams square off in the first round of the Class 1A regional tournament tonight in Wellman.

The Golden Hawks enter the match with an overall record of 5-9. In their last match they fell to Fairfield 11-3. On the season the Golden Hawks are led by Ireland Hostetler and Ali Butters with six goals apiece. Elizabeth Baker leads the Hawks with four assists. In goal, Kirsten Duwa has made 96 saves on the year.

Columbus comes into the night with an overall record of 3-7, winners of three of their last four matches. On the season the Wildcats are led by Betsy Atanacio with seven goals scored on the year. Pearl Krieger-Coble holds the team lead with four assists. In goal Liana Sweezer has 130 saves.

These two teams met on April 13th with Mid-Prairie taking a 3-2 win. Action begins tonight at 5p.m.
