The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys golf team travels to Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo today for the Class 2A district meet.

Mid-Prairie advanced to districts, finishing as sectional runner-up last week in Wapello. At sectionals the Hawks were led by medalist runner-up Noah Schlabaugh with a 79. Mid-Prairie enters today’s meet ranked No. 24 in the state in the latest poll from the Iowa Golf Coaches Association. Mid-Prairie has a 191 scoring average per nine holes on the season.

Other teams joining Mid-Prairie in Waterloo include No. 9 Central Lee, No. 18 Dyersville-Beckman, No. 26 Iowa City Regina, Jesup, Clayton Ridge, Wilton, Durant, North Cedar, Camanche, Tipton, and Davis County.

The state meet will be held at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge May 26 and 27th.

Action begins at 10 a.m. and continues all day Friday at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo.
