The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls track teams are at Eddyville-Blakesburg High School tonight for their class 2A state qualifier.

The Golden Hawk boys come into the night with the top qualifier in the 1600 with Floyd Evans in 4:34.71, Levi Duwa tops the shot put and discus fields with distances of 58′ .75” and 148’5.5” respectively, and the 4×800 team has the best time in the field at 8:20.64. Other top marks include Peyton Miller second in the 400 hurdles, Marshal Teets second in the 800, Andrew Schwartz fourth. Zach Pettit second in the 1600 and 3200, Floyd Evans fourth in the 3200, second for the 4×400 and distance medley teams, fourth for Terrhyn Jacoby in the 100, third for the sprint medley team fourth for the 4×100 and fifth for the 4×200.

For the Mid-Prairie girls Anna Hostetler is the top qualifier in the 800 in 2:16.35, the 1500 in 4:34.20, and the 3000 in 9:51.08. Marie Hostetler is the number two qualifier in all of those events. The Golden Hawk 4×800 team is best in the field with a time of 9:32.59 and the distance medley has the best qualifying time at 4:28.03. Other top marks include the 4×400 team second, 4×200 third, Abbagail Evans third in the 400 and Kessa Jones fifth in the 400 hurdles.

Other teams joining the Hawks in Eddyville include Albia, Centerville, Central Decatur, Central Lee, Clarke of Osceola, Davis County, Prairie City Monroe, Pella Christian Pleasantville, Van Buren Community and the homestanding Rockets.

Action begins at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at Eddyville-Blakesburg High School.
