The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team makes the trip to Burlington, Notre Dame High School this afternoon to battle the Nikes.

IMS got their first win of the season Tuesday night at Holy Trinity by an 11-3 score. The contest was tight with IMS holding a 4-3 lead going to the seventh before they exploded for seven runs in their final at bat to put the game away. Noah Bruns was three for five in the win with three driven in and two runs scored. Caleb Yoder got the win on the mound going the distance, giving up three runs on five hits, striking out five and walking two.

Notre Dame is 3-1 on the season entering tonight, beating Central Lee 2-1 in action last night. Trent Blythe leads the Nikes with his .455 batting average. Mitchell Brent has worked eight innings this year and has a 1.83 ERA. These two teams met a year ago at IMS with Notre Dame taking a 3-2 win.
