A battle for early positioning in the South Iowa Cedar League standings happens tonight as Keota travels to Sigourney for baseball.

Both teams know how to hit the ball, as they are averaging over seven runs per contest through four games. The Eagles (3-1) are led offensively by Anthony Campbell having six hits with four RBI. Jacob Wickencamp has looked sharp on the bump going six and a third inning, giving up just one run. Sigourney’s (3-1) Avery Moore has looked good at the plate going 7-for-13 with five RBI. Payton Schauf is off to a fast freshman campaign going eight innings on the mound of two-run ball.

First pitch gets underway at 6 p.m. tonight at Sigourney High School.
