The Mid-Prairie boys golf team is back on the course in Kalona Tuesday, hosting the 2017 Golden Hawk Invitational.

Mid-Prairie comes into the tournament with a 185 average per nine holes and at 365 in 18 hole events this year. In their last outing the Golden Hawks were sixth at the West Liberty Invitational with a score of 362, led by Noah Schlabaugh at 86. On the year the Golden Hawks are led by Duncan McCain’s 43 average.

Iowa Mennonite will also play today at Kalona. They enter today with a 206 average per nine holes. They are led by Trevor Leyden and his 47 average on the season.

The best scoring average in the field belongs to Mount Vernon at 166 per nine holes and 330 per 18. Drew Wolfe leads the Mustangs with a 39 average on the year.

Other teams joining the Golden Hawks at their home meet include Durant, North Cedar, Iowa City Regina, West Branch, West Liberty and Wilton.

Action starts at noon and continues the rest of the day at the Kalona Golf Course.
