Mid-Prairie is in the process of hiring a new full-time transportation director.

This position will be shared between the Mid-Prairie, Lone Tree, and Highland school districts. Mid-Prairie Superintendent Mark Schneider explains how this agreement came to be, “It was about a month ago, Highland and Lone Tree expressed interest in sharing a transportation director. Obviously we have a shared transportation/activities director, and it was not possible if we were going to share with two other districts to have that same person also do their transportation.” Schneider said Mid-Prairie suggested to hire a new full-time director for all three districts. Schneider said the new director will spend 60% of their time at Mid-Prairie, 20% at Lone Tree, and 20% at Highland. Schneider expects interviews to occur this coming week.
