Even on cloudy days, ultraviolet rays are in the atmosphere and Administrator of Washington County Public Health Danielle Pettit-Majewski recommends applying sunscreen as part of your daily habit.

She says you can still get a sunburn if there are clouds. She recommends you check the expiration date on your sunscreen bottle before using it. Also, remember to reapply sunscreen about every one to two hours, especially if you’re sweating or swimming. Pettit-Majewski also advises it’s better to use the lotions, rather than the sprays, which can be inhaled and applied unevenly.
