A funnel cloud was reported northeast of Richland by a trained weather spotter at 5:01 p.m. A trained weather spotter reported quarter to half dollar sized hail east of Lake Belva Deer State Park. During the storm Washington and Keokuk Counties Emergency Management Coordinator Larry Smith, as well as Keota police officer Doug Conrad, advised people to take shelter.
