Sigourney girls’ golf used their home course to their advantage  winning the opening round of regionals Monday.

It was all Savages from the start as they captured the meet title with a total of 406 strokes, 36 strokes better than second place Lynnville-Sully. Kendall Streigel led the way for Sigourney as meet medalist with a 94. Sydney Streigel wasn’t far behind placing second overall with a score of 97. With the win the Savages continue their season and move on to the regional final.

The Regional Final will be Monday at Lagos Acres Golf Course in Keota.
