Athletes from southeast Iowa will be competing at the state track and field meet this week.

IMS student Suzanna Yoder will compete in the 400m. 10 athletes from Lone Tree will be competing. Drake Hotz for the 200m, and Brock Smith for the 800m. Niko Gosnell will compete in high jump, Jovonte Squiers for long jump, and Casey Shalla for discus. The sprint medley, 4×100, and 4×200 teams will compete as well.

6 girls from Highland will be competing. Emily Yahnkee for the 100m and the long jump, Kelsey Hora for the 400m, and the 4×100 relay team will compete. From Columbus Ruben Paz will compete in the 100m, Abel Mena in the 400m, and Tommy Pretz will compete in long jump. For the girls team Shania Boyd will compete in the 100m hurdles, long jump, and the 400m hurdles.

6 athletes from Winfield-Mt. Union are competing. For the boys Bryce Robison will compete in the 100m and 200m, the 4×100 team qualified, and Kolten Buster will compete in high jump. For the girls Cecilia Hemsworth will compete in the 800m and Pearl Krieger-Coble will compete in the 1500m. 11 athletes from WACO are competing, including Cornell Hulme for the 100m and Beau Beckler for the 110m hurdles. The boys shuttle hurdle, 4×100, and 4×200 relay teams will also compete. The girls shuttle hurdle relay and the 4×100 relay team will attend.

From Keota the 4×200 team are competing, and Jacob Wickencamp will compete in the 100m and 200m. Sigourney is sending 10 athletes, including Bryce Goldman for the 100m and long jump, and Avery Moore for the 100m, 200m, and 400m. For the girls Autum Barthelman will compete in the 100m and 100m hurdles, and Summer Barthelman will compete in the 400m hurdles and long jump. The girls shuttle hurdle and 4×100 relay teams qualify.
