Several Washington area schools are participating at this weekend’s National Archery Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky.

Through action on Friday, the Washington High School team was in 11th place out of 158 teams with an overall score of 3342. The Demons are led by Samantha Mellinger with her 285, placing her in the top 50 individuals at the contest. John Sands also checks in with a 285 for the Demons to lead the way for the boys.

Bryan Martin leads the Washington Middle School team with an individual score of 281, placing him in the top 100 competitors in his age group entering Saturday. Samantha Frana has the lead for the Washington girls middle school team with a 277 score.

At the elementary level Makynna Morgan has the top Washington score at 260.

Action continues Saturday at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville.
