Area golfers will tee off next Tuesday as they’ve qualified for the Iowa Girls High School State Golf Meet.

Washington’s Sarah Nacos was the medalist at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo at the regional finals. The junior will aim for a three-peat at state. She won’t be traveling alone, as it’s also the third year in a row Washington has qualified as a team for the state competition.

Winfield-Mt. Union is sending two golfers on – Sophie Kongable and Lexee Hartsock. The Wolves’ team finished at 383, the same as Iowa Valley, as runners up, but lost the team tiebreaker to advance. Listen to KCII Sports for details.
