The Keota baseball and softball teams travel to HLV Victor tonight for a South Iowa Cedar League matchup.

A solid start to the season has Keota baseball (6-3) eyeing a SICL championship. HLV (8-3) will be a good measuring stick for the Eagles as both teams find themselves in the top four of the league standings. Jack Eakins leads the Eagles offensively having gone 11-for-21 from the plate with five RBI. Jacob Wickencamp has done his part on the mound having pitched 9 1/3 innings with a 3.75 ERA. Dean Shaull leads the Warriors with a .389 BA from the plate for a team that leads the SICL in runs scored.

For the girls, the young Eagles (0-7) will be searching for their first win on the year. Jill Schulte will look to get the offense going as her .400 BA leads the team. HLV (4-5) is riding high fresh off a 12-2 win over Springville. Kelsea Shaull leads the Warriors with a .448 BA on the year.

Both contests get started at 6 p.m. tonight at HLV High School.
