The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team travels to Pearl Field in Iowa City today for the University of Iowa tournament.

Mid-Prairie enters play with a 1-4 overall record. In their last contest they fell to Monticello 12-10 on Thursday. On the season, the Hawks are led by Tayler Murphy who is hitting .692, third best in the River Valley Conference. In the circle Cassidy Rourke has thrown 29 1/3 innings with a 7.88 ERA and a 1-3 record.

Mid-Prairie draws Muscatine in their first contest. The Muskies come into the day with a 7-2 overall record. On the year Muscatine is led by Morgan Hogenson who is hitting .700 on the year, best in the Mississippi Athletic Conference. Kaitlyn Bierman has done the majority of the work in the circle for the Muskies, throwing 21 1/3 innings with a 3-1 overall record and 0.98 ERA.

In game two Mid-Prairie will see North Scott. The Lancers come into action with an overall record of 6-4 on the season. On the year North Scott is led by Delaney Kilburg and her .400 batting average. In the circle Kendal Newman has thrown 32 innings with a 2-2 record and 2.41 ERA.
