The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team is holding a Homerun Derby and Hit-A-Thon Thursday, June 22nd at Carr, Vincent, Gould Field in Kalona.

The public is invited to come watch the Golden Hawks showcase their hitting skills. You can sponsor a varsity player to raise money for the Special Olympics or pledge a flat rate per hit. Admission is $2 for the event with full concessions available. Members of the community will also be invited to step in the batters box and swing for the fences. The event begins at 6PM tonight in Kalona.
