A night after a tough loss to Lisbon, the Highland baseball team responded in a big way by shutting out West Burlington 5-0.

The Huskies got the bats going early plating three runs in the first to take the early lead. They got some insurance in the third by tacking on a run and one more in the fifth to shut the door on the Falcons. That was more than enough for Chase Rath, as he had another strong showing on the bump going six innings of four-hit ball without giving up a run. Josh Michel led the Huskies offensively going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

With the win the Huskies improve to 8-2 on the year as the Falcons fall to 6-3. Highland gets back on the diamond tomorrow when they host a tournament.
