In a battle of one-loss teams, the Highland baseball team heads to Lisbon tonight for a non-conference matchup.

Both teams know how to score as they lead their conferences in runs per game. Highland (7-1) was last in action on Friday when they handled Columbus by a score of 13-3. Expect the Huskies to run against the Lions as they lead the Southeast Iowa Super Conference in steals with 57. Chase Rath is off to a hot start from the plate as he has recorded a .435 batting average with nine RBI. On the bump, Rath has turned some heads as he has only given up one run in 12 innings of work.

The Huskies’ pitching staff will have to be at its best as Lisbon (8-1) comes into the contest with a Tri-Rivers Conference leading .376 BA. Tyson Williams leads the Lion offense as he has hit .455 with 14 RBI. Ryley Scott has only given up two runs on the mound through 10 innings of work.

The matchup gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Lisbon High School.
