n a Southeast Iowa Superconference match up of KCII area teams the Highland Huskies host Iowa Mennonite School Thursday night on the baseball diamond.

The Huskies enter play with an overall record of 13-3, they are 10-1 and in first place in the Superconference. In their last game they won at Cardinal 4-2 on Tuesday. Bill Burton was three for four in the Highland win, Caleb Brase got the victory on the hill going six innings giving up just two hits, no runs, walking one and striking out one. On the season the Huskies are led by Chase Rath hitting .479 with a team best 23 total hits. On the mound Rath is a perfect 5-0 record with 29 innings of work and a 0.72 ERA.

Iowa Mennonite enters tonight’s action with a 7-6 overall record. In their last contest they hammered Danville 12-2 in six innings, led by a four for four night from Reggie Borntrager at the plate and Cole Yoder on the mound who went five innings, allowing six hits, two runs, and striking out six. On the season Iowa Mennonite is led by Drake Brezina with his .318 average and team best 14 hits and 13 runs scored. Brezina has a 2-2 overall record in 20 innings of work with a 1.45 ERA.
