The KCII Big Red Radio is shiny, full of gas, and on it’s way to the next stop on the KCII Summer Town Tour.

Each year the Big Red Radio visits local festivals around the KCII-listening area to celebrate area communities. KCII General Manager Joe Nichols shares it started a few years ago, “We used to do a few different towns events here and there and we started realizing that, you know what, all these towns in our listening area have celebrations and have things going on. What better way than partnering up with businesses in the communities to help spread the word, make people more aware of what’s going on, increase attendance, and get out and have fun.” The KCII Big Red Radio has already been to Kidzfest and the Washington Summer Classic. The next stop on the Summer Town Tour is Keota Fun Days. Other stops before the Fourth of July include Kalona Day, Brighton Whoopee Days, and Trekfest in Riverside.
