The Mid-Prairie softball team got the offense going late to score their first win of the season Tuesday night in Lowden over the North Cedar Knights 10-2.

The Hawks scored once in the fifth to break a scoreless tie and then exploded for seven runs in a sixth inning that saw them bat all the way through the order. Mid-Prairie would add a pair of runs in the seventh to make it 10-0 before allowing the Knights two runs in their final at bat. With the win the Golden Hawks are now 1-3 on the season and will next be in action tonight when they host Monticello.
