Riverside residents looking to dispose of tree limbs and brush will have an opportunity this week to do so.

The Riverside City Council voted to have an additional stick pick up day on June 14, as they previously decided only to have scheduled pick ups a few times a year. The council voted to add this day because of recent storm damage to trees and yards. Citizens are welcome to place their fallen limbs and brush on the front of their property Wednesday, but Mayor Allen Schneider adds, “We recommend they call City Hall just to check that the company doing the pick up knows where we’ve got limbs and brush to pick up. But usually if they put it out in front of their property it will get taken care of.”

The next scheduled stick pick up in Riverside won’t be until October.
