The third annual 35.2-mile round-trip bicycle route for the Rock ‘n’ Ride will be held in less than two weeks.
The annual event has cyclists pedal from Washington to Riverside and back to Washington on July 8th. The Washington County Board of Supervisors recently approved the secondary road use request. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius said there have been construction crews working along the route, but they will move equipment to the side for the event. All proceeds from the event benefit the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. The event also includes lunch and family activities. For registration information click here.
In it’s inaugural year $60,000 was raised.
