The Sigourney baseball team looks to keep the good times rolling tonight as they travel to Colfax-Mingo.

If you look at the Savages you would guess they are full of senior veterans. That is not the case for a team that has two upperclassmen and six eight graders yet find themselves with a record of 5-1. These Savages know how to hit the ball as they have a team batting average of .406 led by Mac Conrad going 14-for-21 with eight RBI. Payton Schauf is off to a fast start on the bump in his freshman campaign having thrown 13 innings with a 3.23 ERA.

The offensive production for Sigourney will be tested with Colfax-Mingo (5-2) as they lead the South Iowa Cedar League in ERA with a stifling 1.69. Trystin Ross leads that group having pitched 11 innings without giving up a run.

The game gets started at 6 p.m. tonight at Sigourney High School.
