The Sigourney softball team took care of business on Wednesday night by crushing Tri-County in a South Iowa Cedar League affair by winning 12-0 in four innings.

For a Trojan team that had the lowest ERA in the SICL with a combined 1.41 runs per game, the Savages destroyed that statistic by breaking out for 11 runs in the first three frames. They tacked on one more in the fourth inning to make quick work of the Trojans in the 12-run mercy-rule win. Autum Barthelman continues to lead the Savage offense going 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Summer Barthelman and Megan Stuhr had a combined four hits with six RBI on the night. Kendall Streigle made it look easy in the circle pitching four shutout innings of two-hit ball.

With the win the Savages improve to 14-11 on the year and move into fourth place in the league as the Trojans drop to 9-8. Sigourney gets back at it on Monday when they travel to Keota.
