Sigourney continues to be playing good softball as the Savages defeated BGM 4-1 on Monday in a South Iowa Cedar League game.

After a solid start to the season the Savages find themselves in the top three of the 12-team league. The Savages struck first by plating a run in the third inning and held that lead until BGM tied it in the sixth. With the game notched up at one in the final inning, Sigourney scored three runs to shut the door on the Bears.  Jordan Van Ee led Sigourney on the night going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Kendall Streigle and Autum Barthelman also had a pair of hits. Streigle was fantastic in the circle once again, as she went seven strong innings of giving up one run on six hits.

With the win, Sigourney improves to 11-6 on the year as BGM drops to 8-8. The Savages get back in action tonight when they head to Belle Plaine for another SICL matchup.
