Soybeans in Iowa are five days behind last year, but four days ahead of the five-year in average.

Southeast Iowa is on par with the five-year average. According to the USDA’s weekly report, 94% of soybeans in southeast Iowa have emerged, up two percent from last week. Across the state 96% of the crop has emerged. Soybeans are currently rated at 11% excellent, 55% good, 26% fair and eight percent poor to very poor.
