Tonight the Washington School Board will meet in Brighton and on the agenda are sharing agreements with other school districts.

One proposed sharing agreement is for an elementary art teacher with Morning Sun and Washington Community School Districts. The mutual one-year agreement would share Karen Edwards, with 40% of her time at Morning Sun and 60% in Washington. The total contract amount is $83,352.06 including benefits and is split 60/40 between the districts. She is currently a teacher in the Washington District. Another proposed agreement is a contract with Kirkwood Community College and Washington, for math instructor Tom Langr to teach an advanced course in the fall semester with a district reimbursement of $4,640. The board will also discuss goals for the next fiscal year. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Brighton City Hall.
