Firefighters from three departments were called to a house fire in rural Washington early Sunday morning and then again about seven hours later when the fire rekindled.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 12:57 a.m. the house fire was reported to dispatchers at 2794 Havre Lane, off of Spruce Avenue. The house is abandoned and nobody was inside. Ainsworth, Washington, and Crawfordsville Fire Departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies and Washington County Ambulance also responded to the scene. Then about 7:45 a.m. they were called back as the house was fully engulfed. Again Ainsworth, Washington, and Crawfordsville Fire Departments were called to the scene.
