The Iowa Mennonite School softball team suffered a road shut out loss Friday night at the hands of the Wapello Arrows 6-0.

In a game heard on KCII, both pitchers settled in early, posting zeros into the third inning when Wapello finally broke through. The Arrows scored three times in the frame with the big blow coming from Addisyn Lolling on an RBI single. IMS got their lone hit of the contest against starter Eliza Noa when Suzanna Yoder led off the fourth with a bunt single and was picked off of third base on a 2-5 inning ending strike ’em out throw ’em out double play. From there the Arrows added insurance with a single tally in the bottom of the fourth and two more in the sixth. Noa got the win in the circle, allowing just the one hit and striking out nine in the complete game shut out. Hannah Harris took the loss for IMS going all six innings, giving up six runs, nine hits and walking a pair. With the loss IMS falls to 7-10 on the year, Wapello improves to 20-9.
