Cody James Stevenson

A Williamsburg man has been arrested for murder in the first degree.

On Monday, 29-year-old Cody James Stevenson was charged with causing the death of an unrelated child. According to the Williamsburg Police Department, he was arrested and charged with willful injury during the early morning Monday and taken to the Iowa County Jail. The child died later that day. Charges were amended and upgraded to murder in the first degree. The Iowa DCI and the Iowa County Attorney are assisting with the case.
