The Keota Eagle baseball team opens the district tournament tonight at home when they welcome the BGM Bears.

Keota comes into the playoffs with an overall record of 10-10. In their last action the Eagles fell to the Belle Plaine Plainesmen by a 17-2 score Thursday. On the season the Eagles are led by Jack Eakins with his .379 average. On the mound Austin Waterhouse is 2-3 with 30 innings of work and a 4.15 ERA.

BGM enters play with a 11-14 overall record. In their last game the Bears split a doubleheader with Clear Creek Amana, winning 6-5 and falling 12-3. On the season BGM is led by Dylan Shalfbuch with his .473 average. On the mound Shalfbuch has a 5-1 record over 44 innings of work with a 2.53ERA.

These two teams met in the regular season with Keota taking a 13-8 win. Action between the Eagles and the Bears begins tonight at 7PM at Keota High School.
