Partly cloudy skies, less humid, and high temperatures in the 80s are in the forecast for this week in Washington.

According to the National Weather Service, so far this July temperatures have been above normal. The average maximum temperature has been 89.3 degrees, above the normal 85.8 degrees. Total precipitation is below normal at 2.65 inches, while normal is 3.24 inches. The year-to-date data shows temperatures above normal with the overall average temperature so far this year at 50.5 degrees, above the normal 47.8 degrees. Last week heat indices reached 115 degrees.
