The Highland baseball team had a solid start to the postseason as they cruised to a 10-0 win over Danville highlighted by a combined no-hitter in the first round of the district playoffs.

Brody Burton and Caleb Brase looked untouchable on the mound as they combined to give up no hits in the five innings of work. Offensive production came from all over as all nine Huskies recorded a hit in the contest to rack up 14 on the day. They jumped on the Bears early by managing three runs in the first inning and two more tallies in the second. The Huskies were able to make quick work by tacking on five more runs en route to the mercy-rule win in five innings. Bill Burton led the way offensively going 3-for-3 with a RBI and three runs scored.

With the win Highland moves to 21-4 on the year and advance to the district semifinal round on Thursday as they host Pekin (15-10).
