Two area schools will duke it out on the baseball diamond when Highland travels to Keota tonight for a non-conference matchup.

The Huskies (18-4) are coming off of a four-game win streak and capturing a Southeast Iowa Super Conference title. Chase Rath has been one of the most explosive two-way players in the state as he leads the team with a .493 BA and 27 RBI on the year. He is also in control on the mound with a stifling 0.67 ERA in 41 innings of work.

Keota (10-8) is coming off a matchup where their offense broke out in a big way by smashing Moulton-Udell 23-6. Anthony Campbell has been a big boost offensively with a .358 BA and 18 RBI. Austin Waterhouse has been effective in 25 innings of work on the bump with a 3.08 ERA.

The area showdown gets started at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Keota High School.
