The Highland softball team saw their season come to an end Friday night in Eddyville, falling to the No. 9 ranked Rockets by a 10-0 score in six innings in the regional semifinal round of the class 2A tournament.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third when the Rockets broke through for three runs. They scored in each of their next three at bats as well including two in the fourth and fifth innings and three more in the sixth. Offensively, Highland had five hits on the night including two from Kylie Wood. In the circle Megan Hoenig took the loss going four and a third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out one. The Huskies will say good bye to Kelsey Hora and Lindsay Wide who depart through graduation. The Huskies end their season at 21-8.
