The Iowa Mennonite School softball team begins regional play tonight when they travel to HLV High School to square off with the Warriorettes in the class 1A tournament.

IMS comes into action with an overall record of 6-11. They finished 10th of 15 teams in the Southeast Iowa Superconference with a 5-9 record in league play. In their last contest, they were held to just one infield hit and beaten by Wapello 6-0. On the season, Iowa Mennonite is led by Avery Blauvelt and her .471 average, sixth best in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. In the circle, Hannah Harris leads IMS and is fifth in the league with 104 innings thrown.

HLV comes into the playoffs with an overall record of 10-9. In their last contest Monday they beat Lynnville-Sully 4-1. The Warriorettes were 9-7 in the South Iowa Cedar League, finishing in sixth place of 12 teams in the conference. On the season HLV is led by Kelsea Shaull with her .481 average, third best in the SICL. In the circle Junior Emma Cheney leads the way for the Warriorettes. She won the conference ERA title with a 1.71 mark for the season in 94 innings with a 10-6 overall record.
