The Mid-Prairie School District has undergone changes this year with their grade-alike elementary building transition.

But other things will remain the same this fall, including the districts’ amenities. The school board went over dairy, diesel fuel, and propane fuel bids at their meeting July 10. Each item had only two bids, and the board offered 2017-2018 contracts to the lowest bidders, which were all the same providers from last year. Superintendent Mark Schneider shares the benefit of the board’s decision, “That helps in the transition too, if you have the same, for instance, supplier of the dairy product. If you change suppliers then the former company has to come in, move out their coolers and the new company has to bring in the new coolers. So it makes it a little easier when the same company is the low bidder from year to year.”

Prairie Farms Dairy received the dairy contract, Agriland FS received the diesel fuel contract, and Home Gas of Wellman received the propane contract for the 2017-2018 school year.
