Soon-to-be Mid-Prairie senior track standout Peyton Miller was on the oval Wednesday in Lawrence, Kansas for the United States Track and Field Junior Olympic Championships.

Miller qualified for the event in the 400m hurdles. He finished in 29th place in the 44 runner field with a time of 58.25 seconds. James Smith of the Arizona Flames Track Club took the championship with a time of 52.99 seconds. Miller ran in the event as a member of the Iowa Speed Track and Field Club based out of Iowa City.
