Houses, businesses and Lincoln School had power outages in the city of Washington Thursday morning.

At about 10 a.m. power was cut to a portion of town, which included some of the city’s stoplights. Crews set up those intersections like four-way stops during the outage. Justin Foss with Alliant Energy tells KCII News the outage was caused when a contractor working in the area tripped a fuse. The outage was brief and power was restored within the hour.
