A Sigourney 4-H club is being recognized for their exceptional character by the Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University.

The Stick-To-It 4-H Club is receiving the Student Team/Organization of Character award at the 2017 Iowa Character Awards ceremony. Stick-To-It serves the community by cleaning the county fairgrounds, donating to a local food pantry and veterans group, and taking baked goods to local nursing homes, hospitals, and law enforcement offices. The club has 30 members and is lead by Gail Weber, Meredith Holm, Alisca deRegnier, and Autumn Barnhart. The club is one of 12 Iowa individuals and organizations receiving awards at the ceremony on Friday, July 21. The Robert D. and Billie Ray Center annually recognizes Iowans who show the Six Pillars of Character Counts!: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
