Soil moisture continues to be in short supply in southeast Iowa.

According to this week’s report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, topsoil moisture in southeast Iowa this week is rated at 14% adequate, 27% short and 59% very short. In regards to subsoil moisture, in southeast Iowa it is 27% adequate, 33% short, and 40% very short. Our region of the state has the greatest percentage rated at very short in both subsoil and topsoil moisture.
