It was Ross Swinton night on Tuesday as he threw a no-hitter for his Lone Tree baseball team that paved the way to a first round postseason win over Midland 4-0.

Swinton was in control from the start as he cruised through all seven innings, giving up just two walks and recorded seven strikeouts on 99 pitches. The dominating pitcher needed just a little Lion offense to help him out and he got just that. The Lions got the action started in the fourth inning by punching across a run and broke things open in the sixth by pushing across three more. Swinton helped himself, grabbing two hits of his own and a pair of stolen bases. Avery Knock finished the night going 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Midland finishes their season at 19-11 as Lone Tree moves to 16-10 on the year and advances to the class 1A district semifinal round. They will travel to Durant (20-7) tonight to play the Wildcats after they advanced with a 15-0 victory over Prince of Peace on Tuesday.
