Washington County Conservation is seeking the public’s opinion on their master trails plan.

With the funding of the Washington County Riverboat Foundation, the conservation board is in the updating stages of coordinating the efforts of the whole county in its master trails plan. The board has hired MMS Consultants to compile this input into one document, which Director Steve Anderson says is required for federal funding. MMS Consultants and members of the conservation board will be at the Washington County Fair, “This company will be there to start to gather public input. That will be the first of several opportunities for the public to come forward to physically voice their needs or concerns so we can get it into this document. That’s a big piece of this, is to make sure we’re doing altogether what the public wants and needs.”

Those interested in master trails planning can give their input to Washington County Conservation and MMS Consultants on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Washington County Fair.
